Rebar Petition Builds Case Against Mexican and Turkish Imports

A section 701 (countervailing duty) & 731 (antidumping duty) petition was filed yesterday (9/4/2013) on Steel Concrete Reinforcing Bar by Wiley Rein LLP on behalf of the Rebar Trade Action Coalition.  The five petitioners are Nucor Corporation, Gerdau Ameristeel U.S. Inc., Commercial Metals Company, Cascade Steel Rolling Mills Inc., and Byer Steel Corporation.

The countries cited in the petition are:

·       Mexico (AD) and

·       Republic of Turkey (AD & CVD).

The investigation numbers are 701-TA-502 & 731-TA-1227.
